You Believe People Deserve the Chance
to Rewrite Their
Own Story.

Join a Community That Agrees.

For the individuals and families in Zones 3 and 7 of Guatemala City, rewriting their story takes time — and it takes supporters willing to stick with them.

As a member of La Colectiva, your monthly gift means that stability is always there, not just when a campaign asks for it.

Welcome to La Colectiva

The Community That Shows Up, Every Month.

Creamos means “we create”. Every day, participants come to us to create new futures for themselves and their families, whether that’s healing from violence and pursuing safety, finishing an education, learning a trade, or earning a fair wage.

Every one of these steps takes time, patience, long-term investment, and an entire ecosystem of support.

La Colectiva is part of that ecosystem. This is a community of supporters who believe in individuals’ capacity for growth and trust that many small monthly gifts, sustained over time, can create something none of us could have built alone.

La Colectiva also provides Creamos with an invaluable gift: stability.

The communities we serve often live with real volatility, and one of the most important things Creamos offers is a sense of safety, calm, and consistency. We aim to bring that same stability to our finances, because when our funding is steady, we can show up as a steady support for participants, too.

Why Join La Colectiva?

It’s a Monthly Act of Solidarity

You care about gender equity, community mental healthcare, and creating opportunities for economic self-sufficiency, but you may not have the opportunity to work toward these causes in your day-to-day life. Joining La Colectiva lets you put your values into action and make Creamos’ mission part of your own life, every single month.

Wear Your Support

After six months, you’ll receive a special item from our social business, mi eelo, to celebrate your membership in La Colectiva. This isn’t just “swag”. It’s a badge of honor and proof of your commitment to creating change for communities that have long been denied opportunities. We hope it’s also a conversation starter, so you can share our mission with the people around you.

Gather with this community in person!

Creamos staff will be hosting various gatherings of La Colectiva members throughout the United States and Guatemala in 2027. Come and meet new people, or reconnect with old friends, and participate as thought-partners with Creamos staff. More information to come!

What People Are Saying

  • "I love that Creamos is a small organisation and that I know the people running it are doing such amazing work in the community. Money can go a long way in Guatemala, and I also know how valuable consistent income is for an organisation. One-off donations and larger gifts are incredibly important, but knowing you have a base of recurring donations makes it much easier to plan ahead and invest in more programmes with some confidence."

    - Catherine Macaulay, recurring donor since 2020

  • "While every contribution makes a difference, ongoing support gives the organization greater stability to expand programming, invest in long-term initiatives, and serve the community consistently throughout the year. To me, recurring giving is about being a partner in that long-term vision. It helps ensure the women who rely on Creamos have support not just today, but every day of the year."

    - Casey Blossom, recurring donor since 2022
